What's next?

Teas:
Lots of new teas at the shop; I'll be updating the tea list shortly.  Try the White Chocolate Coconut Latte - a green tea that tastes like a candy bar favorite!  We have a huge variety of sample packets right now, too!  Just 45 cents for a one cup serving size OR pick up a grab bag of 12 different teas for $2.50.

So many of the teas are amazing over ice; treat yourself to something decadent like Mango Tango, Flower Shower, or Pomegranate Blueberry.  Let me know if you need recommendations.

Fiber:
I am back to getting caught up with spinning.  I have some orders to fill and then on to some new creations.  I've been knitting up some cute little shrugs - light weight pieces to throw over a sundress or tank top.

This summer, the plan is to make loads of one of kind hats, mitts and scarves so that I am ready to help you step out in something beautiful and unique when the weather turns cooler again.  I'll be creating some new dye colorways for those of you interested in knitting or crocheting your own creations.

Jewelry:
Lots of one of a kind pieces, many items under $25.

This week . . .

I have been having great fun designing and creating one of a kind, nature-inspired jewelry pieces for the Fairie Festival (www.spoutwood.org).  Here are a few samples:

Plus, we are bringing along some amazing new (and regular favorite) teas to the festival and are busy preparing packaging and labels.  As we enjoy warmer weather, try one or two of your favorite teas on ice!  I would be happy to make some recommendations, too.

Since I have been in the fairy-mode, even the dryer balls are loaded with sparkly bits and are in colors of the forest and flowers.  I am trying out some absolutely stunning new yarns from Kraemer that have been coming out of the dye pots in lovely color combinations; can't wait to see what our customers do with them! Here a just a few . . . .
My husband and I have been doing a little fun co-creating.  He is helping me make some nice displays for the festival and we have been working together outside to prepare the gardens for spring.  It feels so good to spend more time outside and it is easy to get good pictures of the things we make.  I'll keep you posted and thanks for taking the time to share with us!

HOT MAMA!

We often brew up a batch of tea on Fridays and/or Saturdays available for sampling.  Stop by and try some!

HANDSPUN SCARF:
I found this beautiful dark brown natural wool with just a few white strands and spun it up on my Lendrum spinning wheel; then divided the skein in half.  Next, I took some hand-dyed wool and needle felted colorful little hearts and strung them on some cotton.  I gathered up some other interesting fibers and plied the yarn with the hearts and other fibers creating lots of kinks and coils in the finished yarn.  After setting the twist and allowing the yarn to dry, I knit the yarn into this scarf!  What do you think?
