The new store

We are preparing to open our storefront at 48 W. Philadelphia Street, York, PA 17401.  The front part of our store should be open by the end of next week and will feature:
  • gourmet loose teas
  • teapots, infusers & accessories
  • tea-infused chocolates
  • hand spun and hand-dyed yarns
  • unique hand-knit hats, scarves, shawls, mitts & more
  • locally made, one of a kind jewelry
  • felting fibers and supplies
After we get the front open, we'll be working on the back room so that we can offer iced & hot teas and matcha smoothies.

We'll also be starting a monthly book club, knitting group, and classes.

Stay tuned! :)

What's new

Jewelry:
  • Coming soon  -Recycled glass bottle top bracelets with hand-blown glass beads & copper.  Very unique!  I'll be making more of those crazy skull head earrings that always sell out, too.
  • Adjustable flower rings and barrettes.  Super cute and very affordable.  Samples can be seen in my Facebook photo album (Cherie Anne Designs).
  • More one of a kind earrings, necklaces and bracelets.

 Teas:
  • Beat the Heat - a refreshing blend with strawberry and orange (no caffeine), perfect for inced tea
  • Chocolate Raspberry Truffle - What more can I say?
  • Swamp Water - delicious, but unusual, this blend of green rooibos, black candy cats, orange sprinkles and sunflower blossoms is just too fun to pass up
  • Strawberry Cream - green tea, brittle bits, lung ching, pai mu tan, genmaicha, strawberry bits and sunflower blossoms.  The fragrance of this tea makes me want to eat it straight out of the bag!
Events :

  • Mother Earth Harvest Fair - Saturday, October 1st.  We'll have tea tasting and a nice variety of teas, hand-knit goodies, jewelry and more for sale.
 Fiber:
  • I'm a bit behind in fiber production.  I have a few requests for hand-spun items that are a work in progress and have more to do.  I am knitting hats, mitts, scarves and shawls in-between to get ready for cooler weather.

June 3rd - First Friday, we'll be sponsoring a special tea event at Sunrise Soap Company, 29 N. Beaver St., York, PA 17401.  At 7 p.m., guest speaker, Vincent DeMasi, will explain the different types of teas (green, white, black, rooibos, oolong, pu-erh) and how to enjoy them every day.  We'll offer samples, too!  This is a FREE event and you'll find free parking on the upper or lower level of the Central Market Garage (on the corner of Philadelphia & Beaver Street) or you can park after 6 p.m. on the street without feeding a meter.

Hope to see you there!

What's next?

Teas:
Lots of new teas at the shop; I'll be updating the tea list shortly.  Try the White Chocolate Coconut Latte - a green tea that tastes like a candy bar favorite!  We have a huge variety of sample packets right now, too!  Just 45 cents for a one cup serving size OR pick up a grab bag of 12 different teas for $2.50.

So many of the teas are amazing over ice; treat yourself to something decadent like Mango Tango, Flower Shower, or Pomegranate Blueberry.  Let me know if you need recommendations.

Fiber:
I am back to getting caught up with spinning.  I have some orders to fill and then on to some new creations.  I've been knitting up some cute little shrugs - light weight pieces to throw over a sundress or tank top.

This summer, the plan is to make loads of one of kind hats, mitts and scarves so that I am ready to help you step out in something beautiful and unique when the weather turns cooler again.  I'll be creating some new dye colorways for those of you interested in knitting or crocheting your own creations.

Jewelry:
Lots of one of a kind pieces, many items under $25.
